Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough

4 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes

4 oz sliced pepperoni

1 tsp Italian seasoning

¼ cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles along the perforated lines.

Place a small cube of mozzarella cheese and a slice of pepperoni at the wide end of each triangle.

Sprinkle a pinch of Italian seasoning over the cheese and pepperoni.

Roll the triangle starting from the wide end to the tip, enclosing the cheese and pepperoni. Make sure to pinch the edges to seal them well.

Place the rolled croissants on the prepared baking sheet.

Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown and puffed.

Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping and garnish with fresh basil if desired.
