Ingredients

2 large chicken breasts

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp paprika

2 tbsp olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a large bowl and pour the buttermilk over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results. This will help keep the chicken juicy and tender.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean-up.

Prepare the Coating: In a shallow dish, combine the seasoned breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and paprika. Mix well until evenly combined.

Bread the Chicken: Remove the chicken breasts from the buttermilk, allowing any excess to drip off. Dredge each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly to make sure the coating adheres well. Place the coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet.

Drizzle with Olive Oil: Lightly drizzle the tops of the breaded chicken with olive oil to help achieve a crispy golden crust.

Bake the Chicken: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the coating is golden brown.

Serve: Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color. Serve with your favorite sides!
