2 cups diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon corn starch

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

8 oz cream cheese (softened)

1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)

2 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons milk (adjust for desired consistency)

Prepare the Dough: In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add the melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

    Let it Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

      Prepare the Apple Filling: In a medium bowl, combine diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and corn starch. Mix well and set aside.

        Roll Out the Dough: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle (about 16 x 24 inches).

          Add the Filling: Evenly spread the apple mixture on the dough, leaving a 1-inch border along the edges.
