Ingredients

1 package of Hawaiian sweet rolls (12 rolls)

4 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon brown sugar

Pinch of salt

2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for cooking)

Maples syrup (for serving)

Sliced fresh fruits (like bananas, strawberries, or pineapples for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Rolls: Slice each Hawaiian sweet roll in half and set aside.

Mix the Custard: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

Soak the Rolls: Dip each half of the Hawaiian roll into the custard mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side to ensure it absorbs enough liquid.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it's bubbly but not browned.

Cook the French Toast: Place the soaked rolls in the skillet, cut-side down. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy. Make sure not to overcrowd the skillet; cook in batches if necessary.

Serve: Remove the French toast from the skillet and place it on a serving plate. Drizzle with maple syrup and garnish with fresh sliced fruits.

Enjoy: Serve warm and enjoy your delicious Hawaiian Roll French Toast!
