3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 red bell pepper, finely diced

1 carrot, finely grated

4 green onions, sliced (white and green parts separated)

¼ cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 head of butter or romaine lettuce, leaves separated and washed

Chopped cilantro and crushed peanuts for garnish

Instructions

Heat Oil: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Sauté Aromatics: Add minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Brown the Beef: Add ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Drain any excess fat.

Add Vegetables: Stir in the diced red bell pepper, grated carrot, and the white parts of the green onions. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the veggies are softened.

Add Sauces: Pour in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Mix well and let it simmer for 2 minutes. Adjust the seasoning with red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.

Assemble Wraps: Remove from heat. Serve the beef mixture in a bowl alongside the lettuce leaves.

Garnish: Top the beef mixture with chopped cilantro and crushed peanuts before serving.
